Young is pretty confident that spirit of “Man in Red” can gain form and show unexpected results

Ashley Young is confident with the top four finish of Man in Red this season and for unexpected results in FA Cup. They only faced one defeat in 19 games so far.

Young who was setting on the bench last night against Preston North End, made his way to the ground right after Laird’s second half goal, who managed to get past De Gea in the 47th minute of the game.

Manchester United’s boss Louis van Gaal surprised the fans with the decision of replacing their star summer signing Falcao with Young.

In 65th minute, Herrera, pulled one back to level the game. Later on, Fellaini and Rooney managed to find the back of the net in the 72nd and 88th minute to confirmed their place in the quarter finals.

“Great team spirit to get back into the game, through to the Quarter Finals! Said it before, our fans are amazing, incredible support tonight”, Young tweeted after the game.

“I was reasonably satisfied with the first half. We showed an unbelievable team spirit after the Preston goal.” Man U boss Louis van Gaal said in the post match interview.

Manchester United won their last FA Cup title 11 years ago in 2003-04 and last time they appeared in the final is 8 years ago in 2006-07.

“Of course we want to get back to the winning ways and win this competition. We haven’t won it for a few years.” Young said to the club website.

“What’s important for us now is to get to the next round. We are not thinking too far”
